VRG Scholarship Fund Committee

The VRG Scholarship Committee is dedicated to identifying and supporting Jain students in North America who demonstrate financial need and academic promise. The committee will administer a transparent and fair scholarship process, ensuring equitable access to educational support. In addition to providing financial aid, the committee will actively promote awareness of the life, contributions, and teachings of Shri Virchand Raghavji Gandhi, a pioneer in representing Jain philosophy on the global stage. The committee will uphold the Jain principle of Sadharmik support, encouraging community responsibility in uplifting students through education. Through its efforts, the committee aims to reduce financial barriers, promote higher education, and contribute to the long-term progress of the Jain community.

• Chairperson: Provide leadership, oversee scholarship strategy, and ensure alignment with JAINA’s mission and values.
• Scholarship Program Administrator: Manage application processes, eligibility criteria, and coordination of scholarship cycles.
• Selection Committee Members: Review applications, evaluate financial need and academic merit, and ensure fair and unbiased selection.
• Financial Oversight Lead: Manage scholarship funds, ensure proper allocation, and maintain financial accountability.
• Compliance & Documentation Lead: Ensure adherence to policies, maintain records, and support audit and reporting requirements.
• Donor Relations & Fundraising Lead: Engage donors, promote VRG Scholarship initiatives, and support fund development efforts.
• VRG Awareness & Education Lead: Promote awareness of Shri Virchand Raghavji Gandhi’s contributions through educational content and outreach programs.
• Student Outreach Coordinator: Connect with Jain centers, Pathshalas, and student communities to promote scholarship opportunities.
• Impact & Reporting Analyst: Track scholarship outcomes, student success stories, and program effectiveness for continuous improvement.
