Senior Community Service

JAINA Senior Community Services is established to support the social, emotional, spiritual, educational, and wellness needs of Jain seniors within the community. The committee will develop programs, services, and initiatives that promote healthy aging, meaningful engagement, and stronger intergenerational connections while honoring Jain traditions and values.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing programs and services focused on senior wellness, engagement, and quality of life
• Promoting social connection, spiritual enrichment, and community participation among seniors
• Supporting educational workshops, health awareness programs, and resource-sharing initiatives
• Encouraging intergenerational engagement and family involvement within the Jain community
• Assisting seniors in accessing community resources, support services, and volunteer opportunities
• Collaborating with local Jain Centers and affiliated organizations to expand senior-focused initiatives
• Identifying emerging needs of Jain seniors and recommending supportive solutions and programs
• Promoting compassion, dignity, inclusion, and respect for seniors across all community activities

The committee will work collaboratively with JAINA leadership, Jain Centers, and community stakeholders to strengthen support systems and enhance the well-being and engagement of Jain seniors throughout North America.
