Jain Eco-Vegan

To inspire a global Jain community that leads by example in ethical, sustainable, and eco-conscious living, creating a world where compassion toward animals and the environment is a shared way of life.

Core Mission

To advance the Jain principle of Ahimsa (non-violence) by promoting veganism, environmental stewardship, and compassionate living that respects all life forms and protects the planet.

Committee Description

The Ahimsa Eco Vegan Committee (AEVC) is committed to promoting the practical application of Jain values through awareness, education, and action focused on non-violence toward all living beings and the environment. The committee will develop and share resources that encourage the adoption of vegan and sustainable lifestyles within the Jain community and beyond. It will organize educational initiatives, campaigns, and partnerships that highlight the environmental, ethical, and spiritual benefits of compassionate living. The committee will also support JAINA in positioning itself as a leader in sustainability and Ahimsa-based living, while tracking measurable outcomes such as reduced animal product consumption, increased awareness, and community engagement in eco-friendly practices.
