Interfaith Activities

The JAINA Interfaith Committee is dedicated to advancing Jain values in global interfaith spaces by fostering dialogue, collaboration, and education. The committee will represent JAINA in interfaith organizations and initiatives across North America and internationally. It will promote awareness of Jain philosophy in schools, universities, and religious institutions, while encouraging Jain centers to actively participate in local interfaith activities. The committee will facilitate dialogues among religious leaders, support Jain centers in hosting interfaith visits, and collaborate with academic liaison efforts to expand awareness of Jainism in educational institutions. It will also contribute to public discourse by encouraging articles, publications, and media engagement that highlight Jain principles and values. Through these efforts, the committee aims to strengthen mutual understanding, respect, and unity among diverse faith communities.

• Chairperson: Provide strategic leadership, represent JAINA in interfaith forums, and ensure alignment with Jain values and organizational mission.
• Interfaith Engagement Lead: Coordinate participation in national and international interfaith organizations and events.
• Jain Center Outreach Coordinator: Communicate with Jain centers across North America, share interfaith opportunities, and encourage local participation.
• Dialogue & Events Lead: Organize interfaith dialogues, panels, and discussions at local levels and JAINA conventions.
• Education & Academic Outreach Lead: Collaborate with schools, colleges, and academic institutions to promote Jain philosophy and understanding.
• Community Participation Coordinator: Encourage Jain individuals and centers to join local interfaith councils and initiatives.
• Jain Center Support Lead: Assist Jain centers in hosting interfaith visits and providing educational resources.
• Communications & Publications Lead: Develop articles, media content, and outreach materials to promote Jainism in news and public platforms.
• Collaboration Liaison (with ALC): Work with academic liaison initiatives to strengthen Jain representation in educational institutions.
• Impact & Reporting Analyst: Track participation, outreach outcomes, and interfaith engagement impact to ensure continuous growth and effectiveness.
