• Provide legal & financial guidance for Planned Giving activities.
• Build an equitable JAINA foundation that espouses confidence in future donors.
• Offer tax-advantaged opportunities to the Jain Community in North America using the JAINA brand name.
• Help fund specific JAINA Committees to standardize, support, and expand their activities.
• Build and maintain a reputable charitable organization list for donors.
• Enable donors to support Jain charities in India and the USA using the JAINA platform.

The Endowment & Planned Giving Committee is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive framework for planned giving within JAINA. This includes offering legal and financial guidance, creating tax-advantaged giving pathways, and building a transparent, donor-centric foundation that inspires confidence. The committee will identify and maintain a vetted list of reputable charitable organizations in the U.S. and India, enabling donors to contribute through a credible and unified JAINA platform. It will also collaborate with JAINA committees to standardize funding models, expand program impact, and ensure equitable distribution of resources. By leveraging JAINA’s brand and values, the committee aims to strengthen community engagement and foster a culture of thoughtful, long-term philanthropy.

• Chairperson: Provide strategic leadership, oversee committee direction, and ensure alignment with JAINA’s mission and governance standards.
• Legal & Compliance Lead: Offer guidance on regulatory requirements, planned giving instruments (wills, trusts, etc.), and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Financial Advisor/Lead: Develop tax-efficient giving strategies, oversee endowment structures, and ensure financial transparency and accountability.
• Donor Engagement Lead: Build relationships with donors, promote planned giving opportunities, and design educational outreach initiatives.
• Charitable Partnerships Lead: Identify, evaluate, and maintain a list of reputable Jain and aligned charitable organizations in the U.S. and India.
• Committee Liaison: Coordinate with JAINA committees to assess funding needs, standardize processes, and support program expansion.
• Operations & Reporting Coordinator: Manage documentation, reporting, and performance tracking to ensure clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
