Calendar

To be a unifying cultural and educational touchpoint in every Jain household in North America, preserving heritage while embracing sustainability through both print and digital accessibility.

Core Mission

To design and distribute a free, opt-in JAINA Calendar that educates, connects, and inspires the Jain community across North America while showcasing Jain heritage, culture, and organizational activities.

Committee Description

The JAINA Calendar Committee is responsible for creating, curating, and distributing an annual Lunar and Gregorian calendar that serves as a cultural, educational, and informational resource for the Jain community. The calendar will highlight Jain religious observances, historical events, cultural heritage, and images of temples and Tirthankaras, while also featuring activities from JAINA, local Jain centers, and committees. Distribution will be based on an opt-in model, with a focus on sustainability through reduced duplication, collaboration with local Jain Sanghs, and encouragement of digital access. The committee will ensure independent funding, high-quality design, and accurate content that reflects Jain values and enhances JAINA’s visibility and brand presence across North America.
