Academic Liaison

The Academic Liaison Committee (ALC) serves as a bridge between JAINA and academic institutions, working to promote Jain education in universities across the world. The committee will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and administrators to support the development of courses, lectures, research initiatives, and academic programs centered on Jain philosophy. It will facilitate resource sharing, provide subject-matter expertise, and help establish Jain studies in regions where awareness is limited. By expanding outreach beyond traditional communities, the committee will contribute to the global recognition of Jainism, ensuring its teachings are accessible in multiple languages and cultural contexts. The ALC will also strengthen JAINA’s presence and credibility within academic circles while supporting students and scholars engaged in Jain studies.

• Chairperson: Provide strategic leadership, define global outreach priorities, and ensure alignment with JAINA’s mission.
• University Partnerships Lead: Build and maintain relationships with universities, faculty, and academic institutions worldwide.
• Curriculum Development Advisor: Support the creation and integration of Jain studies courses, modules, and academic content.
• Research & Publications Coordinator: Encourage and facilitate research, publications, and scholarly work related to Jain philosophy.
• Student Engagement Lead: Connect with students, promote academic opportunities, and support Jain student groups on campuses.
• Global Outreach & Translation Lead: Expand awareness by promoting Jain studies in multiple languages and regions with limited exposure.
• Events & Lecture Series Coordinator: Organize seminars, guest lectures, and academic conferences to promote Jain teachings.
• Communications & Branding Lead: Enhance JAINA’s academic presence and visibility through strategic communication and outreach.
• Impact & Assessment Analyst: Track program growth, partnerships, and global reach to measure and improve impact.

The ALC is pleased to announce the release of Significant Contribution of Jainism – Volume 1, edited by Dhruti Rathi. This scholarly publication features 29 articles highlighting Jainism’s profound contributions to global knowledge systems.
